Privacy

Caption Placement Check is designed so your media stays on your device. The desktop and browser checkers process video frames and caption files locally. We do not receive, store, or inspect them.

Data on your device

The app may store your license token, a cached license-verification result, and Studio preferences in local storage. You can remove them by clearing the app or site data. Generated reports are saved only where you choose.

License verification and purchase

If you restore or use a Studio license, the app sends the license token to the Sociobot billing API to confirm its status. Checkout is hosted by Sociobot/Dodo, the merchant of record, and is governed by the information shown during checkout. Caption Placement Check does not receive your full payment card details.

Website operations

The public site does not use advertising cookies, behavioral analytics, or third-party fonts. Our hosting provider may retain routine security logs such as IP address, user agent, and request time.
