Caption Placement Check is an advisory tool for reviewing caption placement. It does not certify compliance with WCAG, disability law, broadcaster rules, or any other standard. You remain responsible for reviewing the final published video.

Free checker

Core scanning, safe-zone recommendations, manual protected regions, and CSV export are available without purchase. Detection can miss faces, scripts, motion, or meaningful content and can produce false alerts.

Studio license

Studio is a one-time purchase that unlocks reusable protected-region presets and JSON project reports for your own devices. The hosted checkout states the current price before purchase. Sociobot/Dodo is the merchant of record and handles payments and refunds. A refunded or revoked license stops unlocking Studio features.

Acceptable use and warranty

You must have the right to process the media you open. The software is provided “as is” without warranties, to the extent permitted by law. Do not rely on it as the only accessibility review.
